Foundation
I believe that every client is unique and that what works well for one person to heal may trigger another person in pain. While this keeps life interesting with a world of bio individuals, it can be overwhelming when you try to navigate health issues. It doesn’t help that there are conflicting responses on pretty much every health topic out there. How do you know what to trust and believe? Through my own journey, I’ve found the 4 E’s have helped me find my path which taps into the foundation that we are individual and therefore we need unique solutions.

“Are you drinking enough water?” Asks literally every doctor for almost anything you get checked for. Every time I want to roll my eyes because it feels like a default question.
But it’s really not. Water often is one of the top reasons you either feel good or you don’t. Recently I’ve coached several people where the need for more water was the primary reason to get them out of their plateau.
I feel like we all could use a refresher (😜) on why drinking enough water is so important and ideas on how to sneak in more water throughout your day.
Follow along on this months motivation all about hydration.

I have spent 7 YEARS being self-conscious about needing to sub out food/ingredients so that I don’t have a reaction but also trying to minimize my food sensitivities so that guests I’m with aren’t uncomfortable.
Read that again. I have spent 7 years essentially worried that priortizing my health and how I feel so that others don’t feel awkward that I have to make so many changes that I wasn’t willing to prioritize my own self.
But guess what? This summer I’ve thrown that out the window. I simply order what I need/want and I’m not ashamed. Why should I be ashamed of trying to treat myself with respect? Of trying to feel well? I shouldn’t. I realize that now. And frankly, if someone is self-conscious that’s on them. Not me. I deserve to eat out and not feel sick for a day after. But I also tip well. I was once a sever myself. 😉

As promised, here’s the review…..👍🏻👍🏻.
This week is going to be insanely busy between all of the activities. So tonight I decided to prep a frittata for my husband to have in the mornings for his breakfast (he either forgets to eat or goes for all the quick/fast carbs if I don’t make him breakfast to take on the go).
Tips:
1. 10/10 recommend making it in a square dish with parchment paper lining. There was NO sticking like I normally have to deal with
2. It baked more evenly
3. To stick the parchment in the pan I used chip bag clips to hold down the edges until the weight of the egg mixture could be added to the dish. It worked perfectly! Just don’t forget to remove the clips before you put it in the oven 😉
4. Store in a gallon ziplock bag lined with parchment. Saves space! And if you’re like me you might’ve used all your Tupperware with your food prep foods!
5. I had food prepped all the veggies Sunday for the week, so I just had to do a quick sauté vs dicing them all up first.
I’ll post the recipe tomorrow along with a review from the hubster!

One of the most important aspects of maintaining or improving your overall health is letting joy into your life. These last two weeks I did that by going on date days with each of my kiddos. They picked the outings and activities and lunches. I did not worry if I was eating too many carbs, or if I splurged too much. I did track my belly laughs. Actually I lost count, because I was too into the moments. These are the moments I live for. It was like I could feel the sun shining on us and happiness radiating. (Disclaimer: the past two weeks were definitely not all roses. But these 3 date days, in those moments, I’ll never forget).
Get out. Let joy in. Choose happiness. You can choose joy.

We’re talking about crowding out this month in our monthly motivation. Today’s lunch I added in extra veggies with a crunch (cucumber and red pepper) because I knew I was feeling snacky and I wanted the extra crunch. This made me realize I didn’t actually want the chips on my mind and those were crowded out. Look how vibrant this was too! Leftover grilled herbed halibut, green beans with a bit of ghee (healthy fat), cucumber, red pepper, and a small amount of ranch dipping.
How have you been crowding out this month?

August monthly motivation: Crowding Out
Too often we try to pull “bad” food out of our diet vs adding in the “good” food. In reality, food is food. They just provide various levels of health benefits and nutrient density.
For this months motivation, let’s focus on “crowding out” less nutrient dense food by adding in naturally whole and nutrient dense foods. I’m doing this, those less beneficial foods will naturally crowd out.
What foods will you crowd out with by adding in? I’m going to be adding healthy fats like olive oil or avocados.

Crushed my 700th ride today. Of course I took the Lizzo ride again. Because it’s the 💣 and I want to literally enjoy the ride. This milestone took longer than normal as I fought injury after injury. 🤕 But this one was special because I fought through all that and still got here. Honor the small victories along the way on your journey. You’ll get there.
I knew this was coming and I decided to follow my own advice and celebrate my small victory. So I bought myself flowers. 💐Because I loved them and I love myself enough to treat myself.
Find a way to treat yourself to celebrate the small victories. You’ve got this. @lizzobeeating @robinnyc @jesssims

But seriously, time is running out before school starts. Master the microwave! Life can get busy. Think of the protein and calcium they’re getting! Don’t beat yourself up over a few quick meals. Sometimes you need quick so you can be present in other more important areas for yourself or your family. But it might be too quick if it’s still frozen 😜. #quikmeals #abundanthealthcoach #quicktips #microwavethenugs
This girl has a future with food! She is my most adventurous eater and tonight she wanted to share how much she loved the Charred Kale Salad recipe you can find under the on my page. I love helping my kiddos learn about food and healthy eating. 😍 #healthyfood #kidscancook #eatwellbewell #kale #abundanthealth
Last night was date night and instead of going out to eat, we went to 2 movies at the theater and ate at home. But the dinner at home was like a date night out! Filet with a charred kale salad. SO good! Comment below if you want me to post the recipe for the kale salad.

Went to my favorite chiropractors today @lehendrix @westcountyspineandjoint and found a fun surprise on the whiteboard in the room! It’s fun to read back items that I wrote! I practice “crowding out” daily and feel so much less stress by not thinking about food as “good” or “bad”.
Getting ready to start accepting clients within the next month or two. Are you ready prioritize yourself? Let me know, I’m here to support you!

Traveling can bring so much joy, fun and much needed down time especially in todays world of high volume and high impact stressors. However, if you’re like me, you can come home and need a “vacation from your vacation” and you will feel bloated/puffy, exhausted, and maybe just a bit weathered.
My family just got home from back to back vacations and while they were a blast, we were outside A LOT. Between the impact of the allergens and pollen and the feeling that comes from travel, I knew I needed to indulge in a little self-care to recover from our trips at a quicker pace.
I’ve put together some tips on quick wins you can do to help your overall health post travel. (These products are not part of an ad; they’re just products I’ve grown to love that I feel work really well). Message me if you want to try the LimeLife products and need a contact.

July’s Monthly Motivation-Eat the Rainbow: July always feels like such a great month. It actually feels like summer, there’s hopefully a trip to Alpena, MI to visit family, there’s the summer breeze, gardens are alive and thriving (well not our garden, but I don’t think we take care of it that well), herb gardens are thriving (nailed this one!) and there’s all kinds of fresh fruits, veggies, and proteins available to delight your palette! It’s also a time where the food you eat can just be beautiful and vibrant!
For these reasons July’s monthly motivation is to eat the rainbow every week (or more often). Try it out and make it a game with the family!
🍓Red: antioxidants that reduce risk of hypertension and high cholesterol
🍊Orange: supports eye health, reduces blood pressure, boosts immune system
🍋Yellow: Yellow foods are particularly beneficial for your gastrointestinal tract, digestion, and the gut microbiome
🥦Green: Abundant in nutrients that are beneficial for heart health, like vitamin K, magnesium, nitrates, and folates
🫐/ 🍇Blue/Purple: Help prevent heart disease, stroke and cancer. These are very important for your memory and promote healthy aging.

One of my favorite dishes to have in the summer is a fresh homemade chicken salad. There’s all kinds of different varieties, but my favorite has grapes in it. Something about the sweet pop of the grape with the tangy chicken is just SO good. I instantly have a feeling of calm. What I don’t love is a super unhealthy recipe that just makes me feel so full and heavy after I eat it. Like I just finished off a holiday meal. So I took a recipe from Made Whole and adapted it for my food allergies and sensitivities and what I ended up with is nothing short of a decadent treat!
